Some of the horses that have come to Freedom Ranch have had a pretty rough start in life. Fortunately, not all of them come in looking as bad as Osa Poquita, pictured below at only 8 months old. Osa was found in a semi trailer, starved and unable to stand. After 3 months in a sling suspended from the barn rafters, she was finally able to stand on her own, though still had months and months to go before she would look like a healthy horse.
